Directions to the Edinburgh CSCS Test Centre

Car

Are you planning to visit Edinburgh Test Centre using a car? The Centre is inside the Cairncross House found along Union Street down the hill. Road works make this area to be accessible on foot only. Near John Lewis roundabout, turn to Leith Walk. Branch left on the first diversion opposite Playhouse Theatre that is down Union Street.

Parking

Edinburgh Test Centre has no parking. Omni Park Storey is a nearby park facility charging £8 for two hours, and it’s a five-minute walk to the Centre. Car Park Limited along Charlton road charges £5 for 2 hours. It’s a 15 minutes walk to the Centre.

Bus

Buses available around Union Street include 5, 9, 7, 49, and 14. Elder Street is a nearby bus stop and is a five minutes walk. Edinburg station is seven minutes away.

Train

Edinburgh is the nearest station, 12 minutes away. It’s 0.5 miles away.

Other Infomation

The Centre opens on weekdays but not on weekends from 8 am to 4 pm. The building is accessible to disabled people.

How long does the test last?

You will have 45 mintues to answer 50 multiple choice questions.

What will I need to get to pass?

The CSCS operative test pass mark is 45/50.
The CSCS specialist test pass mark is 45/50.
The CSCS managers and professionals pass mark is 46/50
